Tsitsipas one set away from the title against Ruud in Monte-Carlo
Stefanos Tsitsipas is just one set away from his 3rd title on the clay of Monte-Carlo. He dominated the first set of the final (6-1 in 36 minutes) against a Casper Ruud who had been unable to find a solution up to that point. The Greek is back to his best, building on the momentum of his other matches this week, and playing the right shots without having to force his tennis.
On the other side of the net, Ruud is having a much harder time. The Norwegian, too tense and not punchy enough, was unable to put Tsitsipas in trouble. He's going to have to get back on track if he's to turn things around.
